Design with Spine is the philosophy of art which celebrates the link between art and nature, aesthetic and structure. The idea that design should have its foundations in the natural world, and that nature and art are essential to, and not exclusive of, each other. Design with Spine is the unity of biophilia and design.
June Matics is a designer, artist, and nonprofit technology specialist. She is a passionate naturalist and works in animal advocacy. Her work is infused with scientific curiosity and a collector’s cabinet aesthetic. She lives and works just outside of Washington, DC in the company of a small menagerie.
